Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Kona, Hawaiʻi
Every winter, thousands of humpback whales migrate from Alaska to Hawaiʻi’s warm waters to breed, give birth, and nurse their young. From December through April, Kona becomes one of the best places in the world to witness these incredible animals up close.
On this 2-hour tour, we’ll cruise the coastline in search of humpbacks, scanning for spouts, tail slaps, and dramatic breaches. Our knowledgeable crew will share fascinating facts about whale behavior and the cultural significance of koholā (humpback whales) in Hawaiian tradition.
While humpbacks are the stars of the show, you may also spot spinner dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays, or even pilot whales along the way. Every trip is a little different, and that’s the magic of encountering wildlife in its natural environment.
